GORE-TEX® clothing is treated with an ultra-thin water repellent layer called DWR (Durable Water Repellent).
Thanks to this layer, water on the outer layer is not absorbed, but rolls off in droplets. Normal wear and exposure to dust, washing detergents, campfire smoke, cooking odours and other types of pollution, damage the DWR layer.
When water droplets no longer form on the outer layer of your GORE-TEX® garment, you can restore the DWR layer by treating the garment with Outdoor Gear Protector.
Outdoor Gear Protector makes GORE-TEX® clothing perfectly water, dirt and oil repellent again.
